A rare and ornamental mallee eucalypt endemic to Western Australia, Eucalyptus rhodantha is highly sought-after for its spectacular, pendant, deep red to pink flowers and round, silvery foliage. Flowering mainly from late summer to autumn, it provides a brilliant splash of colour in dry landscapes.
Growing Conditions:
Full sun in low-humidity environments. Requires excellent air circulation and dry conditions.
Soil Type:
Free-draining sandy or gravelly soils; not suitable for heavy or water-retentive soils.
Special Features:
Large, pendulous red-pink flowers up to 7 cm wide
Striking rounded blue-grey foliage
