Eremophila maculata, commonly known as Spotted Emu Bush, is a hardy and highly ornamental Australian native shrub. It produces abundant tubular flowers in a wide range of colours—typically pink, red, orange or purple—with distinctive spots in the flower throat. Flowering occurs mainly from winter to spring, often extending into summer, providing vibrant colour when many other plants are dormant. Its dense foliage and attractive form make it ideal for feature planting, native gardens, or informal hedges.

Growing Conditions:
Performs best in full sun but tolerates part shade. Drought and light frost tolerant once established. Prune after flowering to maintain shape and encourage further blooms.

Soil Type:
Grows well in well-drained sandy, loamy or gravelly soils. Adaptable to poor soils and slightly alkaline conditions. Avoid waterlogged or heavy clay soils.
