A striking and showy shrub, Melaleuca fulgens is celebrated for its spectacular, bottlebrush-like flower spikes in vibrant shades of red, orange or purple, depending on the variety. Flowering primarily in spring and summer, it adds a burst of colour to native gardens and provides nectar that attracts birds and beneficial insects. With fine, aromatic foliage and attractive peeling bark, it brings year-round interest to the landscape.

Growing Conditions:

Prefers a sunny to partly shaded position. It performs best in well-drained soils and can tolerate periods of dryness once established. Responds well to pruning after flowering to maintain shape and encourage new growth.
