Among the most striking hakeas, Hakea bucculenta produces large, vivid red flower spikes resembling bottlebrushes from late winter through to spring. With long, narrow, blue-green leaves and a dense, rounded shape, this species is best suited to dry climates with excellent drainage.
Growing Conditions:
Requires full sun and low humidity. Best suited to arid to semi-arid regions.
Soil Type:
Well-drained sandy or gravelly soils; dislikes heavy or damp conditions.
