One of the most widely recognised hakeas, Hakea laurina produces stunning globular “pincushion” flowers in shades of crimson and cream from autumn into winter. A small tree or large shrub with narrow, bluish-green leaves and an upright, tidy habit, it suits a wide range of garden styles.
Growing Conditions:
Full sun is ideal, though it can tolerate light shade. Prefers a sheltered position in cool to temperate climates.
Soil Type:
Adaptable to a range of well-drained soils including sandy loam and gravelly soils.
