A striking golden-flowered form of the Western Australian species, Calothamnus quadrifidus ‘Aureus’ is a compact, dense shrub with fine, grey-green foliage and vibrant yellow bottlebrush-style flowers. Blooming primarily in spring and early summer, the bright blossoms are borne on one side of the stem, giving the plant its common name. Highly attractive to nectar-feeding birds and insects, this cultivar adds colour and texture to native gardens, coastal plantings, and low-maintenance landscapes.

Soil Type:

Adaptable to a wide range of well-drained soils including sandy, gravelly, and light loams. Performs well in low-nutrient and coastal soils.

Special Features:

Eye-catching golden-yellow flowers
Compact and tidy habit suitable for smaller gardens
Ideal for native, coastal, or low-water landscapes
Provides valuable habitat and nectar for birds and insects
