A compact, bushy evergreen shrub with soft, silvery-grey foliage and masses of bright mauve-pink papery flowers through spring and early summer. Cistus albidus adds a splash of colour and texture to dry, sunny gardens and is ideal for rockeries, borders, and Mediterranean-style landscapes. Very hardy once established and tolerant of heat and poor soils.
