A striking upright shrub or small tree from inland Western Australia and South Australia, Hakea francisiana is known for its dramatic cylindrical flower spikes in vibrant shades of red to pink, occasionally with cream tones, appearing in summer and autumn.
Growing Conditions:
Full sun and open conditions preferred. Requires a dry climate with low humidity for best flowering.
Soil Type:
Well-drained sandy or gravelly soils; tolerates poor soils but not waterlogging.
