Eremophila biserrata is a sprawling shrub native to Western Australia, known for its impressive ability to spread wide and develop roots at the leaf nodes, resulting in a diameter that can reach several meters. Its leaves are broad lance-shaped, measuring approximately 30 mm long and 10 mm wide, with distinct toothed edges that enhance its visual appeal.
During spring, this shrub displays an abundance of tubular flowers, characterised by a greenish-yellow hue complemented by prominent purple anthers, measuring around 20-25 mm in length. The fruit produced is either oblong or pear-shaped, reaching lengths of up to 50 mm.
Growing conditions:
As a drought-tolerant groundcover, Eremophila biserrata thrives in dry climates and is adaptable to various soil types, provided there is appropriate drainage. While it typically flourishes in full sun, it has also shown success in lightly shaded environments.
